Moth and Mist

$400

This is the piece collectors stop in front of and cannot walk away from. Trisha Keefe has constructed a luminous fairy realm entirely within layers of encaustic wax — real flower petals, delicate dried branches, and gossamer botanical forms suspended mid-flight, preserved forever beneath a glowing, jewel-like surface. The result is nothing less than a window into another world: part botanical study, part spell, part dream you recognize but cannot name. The depth here is staggering. Layer upon layer of pigmented wax in sage, teal, rose, and chartreuse creates a shifting atmospheric ground that breathes differently depending on the light and angle. No print, no reproduction, no digital image will ever fully capture what this piece does in person — the luminosity, the tactile depth, the sense that something alive is moving just beneath the surface. This is encaustic at its most magical and most masterful. For the discerning collector seeking a work that carries both visual beauty and genuine spiritual weight, this piece is extraordinary. Keefe works prayer and intention into every layer — these are not decorative elements, they are load-bearing ones. Own a portal. Own a moment of genuine enchantment, made by hand, made with love, made with light.
