The Enchanted Threshold

$400

This is not a painting you look at — it is one you step into. Trisha Keefe's encaustic mastery is on full, electrifying display here: layer upon luminous layer of wax, pigment, photographic imagery, and pressed botanicals fused into a single breathing world where a crescent moon hangs low over a flowering threshold and the elemental dances at the edge of the seen. The surface crackles with depth and intention — golden warmth bleeding through lavender mist, hydrangea petals pressed into the wax as if the garden itself demanded to be part of the work. This is a rare collector's opportunity. Keefe's encaustic pieces are irreproducible by nature — each layer of heated wax is a decision that cannot be undone, making every work a singular, time-locked artifact. The combination of real botanical material, photographic collage, and hand-worked pigment gives this piece a physical presence that digital or canvas work simply cannot replicate. It rewards close inspection and long looking, revealing new forms and hidden figures with each return. For the collector who understands that art can function as both an aesthetic and a spiritual investment, this work delivers on every level. It carries the full weight of Keefe's healing-arts background and her fascination with light — luminous, layered, and utterly alive. Acquire it while her star continues its unmistakable rise on the Southwest contemporary art scene.
